Scholarship Program

In 1998 the WC-All Board decided that a scholarship endowment fund would best meet the Board's intention to make a meaningful long-term contribution to Washington College in keeping with the mission of WC-ALL itself. This contribution recognizes the support from Washington College for the lifelong education program administered by WC-ALL.

Since that decision, the WC-All Scholarship Endowment Fund has grown to over one hundred fourteen thousand dollars. This amount has come from individual contributors, a foundation, and from WC-ALL itself. WC-ALL currently budgets an annual gift of five thousand dollars to the Fund each year. We look forward to being joined in this worthy endeavor by individuals and organizations who are interested in establishing a continuing basis for the support of education for the best students.

The annual scholarship(s) are administered by Washington College. The amount is five percent of the endowment fund, allowing for further growth from fund income over the years. Preference will be given candidates who are residents of this area and are non-traditional students; i.e., have returned to school later in life or have come to WC from junior colleges. Students who are interested in pursuing careers in education will have an advantage in the selection process.

We believe that this endowment fund is an excellent vehicle for WC-ALL and individuals to continue to make a contribution to Washington College and the society at large for years to come. We invite anyone who is interested to join us.
